About The Role

Air Canada are seeking a reliable and professional Warehouse Attendant to join their team. The Warehouse Attendant deals directly with the public, other airlines, agencies and Company employees by providing Cargo warehouse services in a manner prescribed by the Company.

As a Warehouse Attendant your key responsibilities include:

Accepting / delivering Cargo & Mail whilst verifying piece count
Ensuring that associated paperwork is correct, and the shipment is correctly marked and labelled
Storing Cargo & Mail in appropriate warehouse locations, reporting as required
Loading and unloading trucks
Building up and breaking pallets
Physically handling cargo and mail manually or by machine
Receiving and answering enquiries from the public, other airlines, agencies and Company employees
Delivering transshipments to other airlines when required
Drive company vehicles when required
Accept and process Hazardous/Restricted material shipments in accordance with Company and Government Agency regulations.

About You

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous Cargo Warehouse experience and hold a full valid UK driving licence. In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

Good verbal and written skills, with a high level of accuracy
Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner
Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and work to deadlines with minimal supervision
Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative
Be able to secure an airside ID pass
Be fully flexible able to work both days and nights.

Desirable

Current Forklift licence
DfT Security trained
