Lift Technician

As part of KONE’s Heathrow team, the NVQ3/4 Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of lifts and escalators. This role involves troubleshooting lift issues, leading and upskilling a team of engineers, and proactively finding solutions to technical challenges. Working within a team of six specialists, the Technician will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and convenience for all users. The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 6 am to 6 pm, based at Heathrow.

To qualify for this role, you require following qualifications and experience:

Qualifications and Skills:

• NVQ4 Qualified or Part Qualified: Advanced technical qualifications in lift and escalator maintenance.
• Driving License: A valid driving license is required for travel as part of the role.
• Strong Customer Skills: Ability to interact professionally with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, vital for training and team collaboration.

Experience and knowledge

• Experience in Troubleshooting: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve lift and escalator issues efficiently
• Health & Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance on all jobs.
• Preferable Knowledge of KONE or Schindler Components: Familiarity with components from KONE or Schindler is advantageous.
